For my next project I will be looking into a virtual game sample,
The idea being a mockup that looks like it could be gameplay of a real game
but without needing to use a game engine or dependant on prgrammers to produce it.
This may be considered a concept video that might be put together to demo an
idea show how the gameplay will work and show off assets that a game could use.
Its a way that a artist could pitch a game idea to a developer, but taking it
to its most developed level it could reach. Rather than just showing ideas and images
they can see what the end result may look like.
The style of game I would go for would be a third person action rpg, with
inspiration drawn from games such as outcast, prince of persia, devil may cry,
and diablo.
Each of these games really do well in some areas while falling short in others
and i think it is about time something was put together that used the strengths
of these different games to make something solid in every area.
